GCSE and V-Cert Examination Results Summer 2026

St Birinus School is celebrating the excellent achievement of its students in their GCSE qualifications this summer. Students in this Year 11 cohort have worked consistently hard and brought real determination and character to their Key Stage 4 courses and to school culture more widely. We are delighted that the grades awarded today genuinely recognise their commitment and ambition and allow students to progress onto the destinations that they desire.

• 67% of students gained 5 GCSE passes including English and Maths (9-4) and 50% of students gained 5 GCSE passes including English and Maths (9-5).
• 79% of students achieved Grade 4 and above in English and 81% achieved Grade 4 and above in Maths. At Grade 5 and above, 64% were successful in English and 65% in Maths.

In summary, for the 165 students in Year 11 …
